Following sightings of Google Street View camera cars in Mallorca in recent months, you can now check out very detailed views of some of the island's streets.
Google Street View is a feature of Google Maps and Google Earth that provides 360 degree horizontal and 290 degree vertical panoramic views every 15 metres or so along a street, from a height of 2.5 metres. Where available, street view images appear after zooming in beyond the highest zooming level on maps and satellite images, and also by dragging a yellow "pegman" icon onto a location on a map.
The map on the right shows the current level of coverage in the south west and south of the island, incorporating the muncipalities of Andratx, Calvia, Puigpunyent, Palma, Llucmajor, Campos, Ses Salines and Santanyi.
