Even as a teenager Lisa Francis knew that her future would not involve living permanently in the U.K. so at 18 she moved to Spain and embarked on a career with Spanish Hotel chain Sol Meliá which developed over the next seven years. In 1990 Lisa returned to the U.K. for a while and started working for a well known London Estate Agents thereby discovering her passion for property, but she desperately missed the Spanish connection, so she switched to an English company selling real estate on the Costa Blanca.But with the U.K. in deep recession in the early 1990s things were looking far more interesting in Spain where E.U. entry, the Barcelona Olympics and the Seville Expo ’92 were making for a growing economy. So Lisa headed back to Spain to continue working for Sol Meliá and spent five years setting up Events departments in their 5 * Hotels in SE Asia, Mexico and Cuba. On her return to Europe Lisa worked in the recruitment industry as a Head Hunter where she recruited at executive level in the technology and new media sectors in Europe. Due to the success of the new European division within the company, Lisa was offered the opportunity to set up an office in Holland, where she then lived for a year.
After Holland, Lisa recognised that it was time to redirect her career back to the two things that motivated her most, Spain and property. After nearly a year working for a U.K. based Spanish real estate company, Lisa moved back to Spain, to the Costa Blanca, and started work as an estate agent. For five years Lisa helped many people find their ideal inland or coastal property in both the northern and southern regions of the Costa Blanca, the Mar Menor, La Manga and further north including Valencia and Castellón. She understands that one of the biggest challenges for people buying abroad is finding professionals who are there unequivocally to protect their interests and her desire to be just such a person led to her decision to join The Property Finders and work only and exclusively for the buyer. Over the years Lisa has built up a network of reliable and trustworthy contacts including solicitors, builders and managing agents who act of behalf of the buyer and absolutely no-one else.
Lisa covers a very extensive region which takes in Castellón, the Comunidad Valenciana, Alicante and Murcia which incorporates the Costa Blanca, Costa Azahar and Costa Cálida. She knows that many prospective buyers waste months, and longer, trying to get to grips with such a big area but her in-depth knowledge of the region means that she is able to identify the right locations once she understands her clients’ requirements.
